What are your passions?
My passions over the years has been volleyball and dance. I have been dancing at Paula Aubrey for 15 years and dance has always been a constant in my life. No matter what was going on in my life at the time I knew I could always go to the studio and have all of my worries washed away. I have met some amazing people and role models through dance that I will be forever grateful for. Another one of my passions is volleyball. Volleyball has been a love/hate relationship over the years, but i have learned so many important life lessons and made so many memories through volleyball that I will remember forever.
What are your career aspirations?
My career aspirations is to eventually become a nurse anesthetist. In the fall I will attend Bradley University to earn my bachelors in nursing. Then, I hope to go on to grad school to become a nurse anesthetist. I hope to one day work in a big hospital in Denver, Colorado.
What advice would you give for next years class?
Some advice to the class of 24’ would be definitely to have fun and always do what makes you happy. You only in high school once so go to that game, tryout for that team, join that club, and talk to that boy/girl that you like. There are a lot of things that will happen in high school and you have to remember that if it won’t matter in 5 years don’t spend more than 5 minutes worrying about it. It is a hard thing to grasp especially because you think high school is going to last forever when your in it but high school is not your forever. There will be good times and bad times but it is the way you deal with the bad times that will ultimately shape you as a person and decide your happiness.
