It’s graduation season, and today we’re talking all about grad gifting on the blog!

You hear it over and over again throughout senior year and as graduation approaches… “It goes by so fast!” and you don’t really believe just how fast it does go by until you’re turning the tassel on your cap! What a joy to be there every step of the way with my seniors and to celebrate YOU throughout your senior year. 

It’s that time of year when you’re starting to get those invites in the mail and trying to think of the perfect gift for your favorite grad. Over here at SJP, we love personalized gifts so we thought we’d share some of our favorite ideas for celebrating your grad. 

With graduation around the corner, I’m excited to share my guide to grad gifting with unique and fun grad gifts for high school seniors after walking across the stage at graduation.

Grad Signing Board

Obviously a fan favorite here at SJP is anything photo related. But my top favorite is a custom signing board! Use those senior photos to create something special and have family and friends sign well wishes for your grad… They can hang this special piece in their dorm room!

Monogrammed Laundry Bag

I’m a big fan of gifting a monogrammed laundry bag or custom laundry basket. Not sure this will do their laundry for them but will help them get their clothing to where it needs to be! Fun idea to fill this with space saving hangers, laundry detergent, paper towels, dish soap, cleaning cloths, etc.

If it’s a bag, pouch, or container I am a fan, so here is another more personal gift – collegiate pouches. Find out which college your grad will be attending! Fill this with some of your grad’s favorite pens or markers – give me all the gel tip pens!

For those music friends! We are a little bias being art peeps over here and an Apple family… BUT sharing the gift of music is always a fan fav. 

Board Games

Nothing better than having some ice breaker things to do on hand with new friends! Cards Against Humanity, Poker chips and cards, Apples to Apples, Happy Salmon, and LRC to name a few!  

Coordinate Gifts

In general it is fun to incorporate coordinates into a gift. You can use your home coordinates or of the grad’s college.

Do you have a techie on your hands that needs one beautiful case to carry their tablet, iPods, cords? Or a gal that loves her jewels and would love a personalized case to transport her jewelry? These are the perfect gift.

I’m a gal that loves to accessorize, and I know so many of my seniors are, too! This monogram name necklace is bound to be an everyday staple piece of jewelry.

I hope this grad gifting guide helps you plan personalized and meaningful gifts this graduation season! And for my grads… My advice to you, graduates: don’t forget to live in the moment. Life doesn’t slow down from here. You move on to college, careers, and so many other beautiful things life has to offer.

So promise me you won’t get caught up in the hustle and bustle for too long. That you will find moments to be still, take it all in, and be thankful for the part of your journey that you are at. Because even in the stressful moments, or hard ones, it is all a part of who you will become! So take the good with the bad and let it turn you into the wonderful human you desire to be.
