Mod Squad 2027: Festival Frenzy Photoshoot

One of the best parts of being a Mod Squad girl? The unforgettable photoshoots that turn into unforgettable memories.

This year, we brought back a longtime favorite and headed to the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival for our Festival Frenzy photoshoot. It’s been a few years since we’ve visited the Friendship Festival with the Mod Squad, but the second we stepped onto the fairgrounds, I remembered exactly why this shoot has always been such a favorite.

There is just something magical about summer nights at the festival.

The bright lights. The colorful rides. The music. The excitement. The carefree feeling that comes with spending an evening surrounded by your friends. It all creates the perfect backdrop for a Mod Squad adventure.

As much as I love creating unique concepts and dreaming up new locations each year, sometimes it’s fun to revisit a classic. The Friendship Festival gave us everything we could have hoped for: vibrant colors, endless photo opportunities, and plenty of chances for the girls to simply enjoy being together.

And that’s exactly what made this shoot so special.

The Festival Frenzy photoshoot wasn’t about perfectly posed portraits. It was about capturing genuine laughter, real friendships, and the joy that comes from making memories during one of the most exciting seasons of life.

Throughout the evening, the girls explored the festival together, rode rides, shared plenty of laughs, and embraced every minute of the experience. Some of my favorite images from the night weren’t planned at all. They happened in between the poses, during conversations, and in those authentic moments when the girls were simply having fun together.

That’s always been one of my favorite things about Mod Squad.

While the photos are beautiful, the experience is what makes it truly special.

These girls come from different schools, different friend groups, and different communities throughout the area. Yet every time we get together, their friendships continue to grow. Watching those connections form throughout the year is one of the most rewarding parts of the Mod Squad experience.

The Friendship Festival provided the perfect reminder that senior year isn’t just about milestones and accomplishments. It’s about enjoying the journey, making memories with friends, and soaking in every moment before this chapter comes to a close.

And if this photoshoot was any indication, the Class of 2027 is doing exactly that.

To my Mod Squad girls: thank you for always showing up ready to have fun, embrace new adventures, and trust me with all of my crazy ideas. Bringing Festival Frenzy back to the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival was everything I hoped it would be and more because of each of you.

Here’s to summer nights, carnival lights, incredible friendships, and another unforgettable Mod Squad memory.

The Class of 2027 is just getting started.
