Best advice you have ever received?
I think the best advice I have ever received is to always try something new—even if you are unsure—you never want to live with regret because you didn’t try to do something.”
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
If everything works out, in 5 years, I hope to be graduated with my undergrad in nursing at the University of Kentucky. Hopefully in 5 years I’ll be working towards becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Most importantly, I hope to be happy, fulfilled, and satisfied with my life up to that point—no regrets.
Favorite place in the world?
My absolute favorite place in the world is Silver Lake, Michigan. I spend a week up there every summer with my family—boating, swimming, climbing sand dunes, and relaxing. The atmosphere of the area is so welcoming and laid-back…it’s a place where I don’t have to rush around, and I can take time to appreciate my family and the good things in life. Those are the types moments I live for.
How have you grown in the past year?
I would say that in the past year I have grown to learn that it is okay to take time for myself. Although it’s very important to take care of others and make sure their needs are met, it is equally important to make sure that you are taken care of. In the last year I have definitely taken advantage of the few free minutes I have to breath and refocus my attention to the things that matter. It’s 100% okay to take a minute, hour, or day to focus and improve upon yourself.
