Here are my top tips for making your photography brand unforgettable:

For me, it all starts with a classic editing style. Even back in my college days (yes, I was a photography major working in a darkroom!), I focused on creating images that feel timeless. I wanted photos that wouldn’t make someone say, “Oh, that was taken in the 80s!” Your brand should have a style or tone that is immediately recognizable. Consistency builds trust, and trust keeps clients coming back.
2️⃣ Stay Visible
They say it takes seeing someone nine times to feel familiar, and that’s true for your brand too. Show up consistently, not just on social media, but in your community, at events, or even small gatherings with friends and families. Familiarity builds trust, and trust builds loyalty.
3️⃣ Make It Personal
Clients connect with authenticity. Share behind-the-scenes moments, fun facts about yourself, or stories from your favorite shoots. I love sharing highlights from my Mod Squad sessions because they show what makes SJP special and give clients a glimpse into the heart of my work.

For me, it’s all about being an active part of my community. I make it a point to get to know my clients, their families, and the people around them. I’m not just their photographer; I’m a familiar face they trust and love to work with. Handwritten thank-you notes, personalized check-ins, or just showing up consistently – all those little touches make SJP stand out.
