Introducing: The Color Me Photoshoot

The inspiration behind this year’s Mod Squad Color Me photoshoot was – yep, you guessed it – COLOR! Ever since meeting my 2025 Mod Squad at our launch meeting last spring, I’ve been dreaming up this shoot. I wanted to lean into bold hues, textures, and all the monochromatic vibes to create something totally unique. And wow, did these girls bring the energy and style to make it come to life!

We had an absolute blast creating these images at my studio in Bourbonnais, and honestly? I just love these girls so much! These photos make me smile every time I see them, and better yet, they remind me how lucky I am to know these amazing girls and capture their senior year.

Every year, my goal with Mod Squad is to create not only beautiful photos but also an experience that’s full of laughter, fun, and confidence-boosting moments. This shoot was SO. MUCH. FUN. We let our hair down, played with bold colors, and fully embraced the power of self-expression through photography.

This summer, we’re rolling into year NINE of Mod Squad! Can you believe it?! This program has grown and evolved in so many ways over the years. I still remember calling each and every mom that very first year, explaining, “This idea I had…” – to bring like-minded young women together, celebrate THEM, and create a space for positive relationships, confidence, and lasting memories.

And here we are, nearly a decade later, with an incredible community of girls who continue to inspire me every single day.

What is the Mod Squad?

If you’re new around here, let me introduce you to what Mod Squad is all about!

It’s all about connection. Our goal is to create a positive, uplifting space where girls can make new friends, build each other up, and experience the power of encouragement – especially in a social media world where that isn’t always the norm.

It’s about creativity. Together, we plan and create themed group photoshoots that are full of personality and fun. From studio portraits to outdoor adventures, every shoot is unique and full of magic!

It’s community-driven. For many of these shoots, we collaborate with local boutiques and businesses to bring creative visions to life.
