Every year, I love dreaming up new creative shoots for the Mod Squad. From themed sessions to unique locations, these shoots are all about capturing the joy, confidence, and personality of each girl – while having a whole lot of fun along the way. This year, I decided to put a fresh twist on the idea of fair photos and introduce the Creative Carnival shoot!
In the past, I’ve photographed at the Kankakee County Fair for our “Fair Frolic” session and even spent an evening at the Friendship Festival. But this year, the Creative Carnival was all about colorful rides, carefree laughter, and a little bit of that timeless fair magic. And what better way to make it happen than with the Mod Squad?
A night at the carnival with SJP!
Alli, Aubrie, Carsyn, Erin, Gabriella, Kirstin, Marleigh, Meah, Mya, Sophie, and Trysta joined me for a night of photos and fun at the local fair. From cotton candy smiles to carnival rides, these girls brought so much energy and joy. Whether they were twirling in boots, riding the swings, or just walking through the fairgrounds arm-in-arm, every moment screamed Mod Squad magic.
That’s what I love most about these sessions – they’re not just photos, they’re memories. A chance to celebrate friendship, laughter, and the season of life these girls are in. And this year’s Creative Carnival shoot did exactly that.
Here’s to another incredible Mod Squad memory, and to all the fun we still have ahead this year!
