There are some photoshoots that are just fun… And then there are photoshoots that leave confetti absolutely EVERYWHERE. The Confetti Color photoshoot with this year’s Mod Squad was definitely the latter, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Last year, I introduced the very first confetti shoot with my Class of 2026 Mod Squad, and it quickly became one of those shoots I knew I wanted to bring back. This year, I had a brand new space to play with, too! We brought the Confetti Color photoshoot to my new studio in Bourbonnais, and watching this colorful idea come to life in the new space was SO much fun.
Bright colors, bold backdrops, confetti flying through the air, and a whole room full of confident, hilarious, beautiful girls… Basically, it was the perfect combination! These Class of 2027 girls brought so much personality to this shoot, and I loved watching each of them make the concept their own. Some went big with the color and energy, some brought a little more sass, and others had us laughing between every shot. That’s the beauty of a Mod Squad shoot: the concept may be the same, but every girl brings something completely different to it.
And can we talk about how much fun it is seeing these girls together?! One of my favorite parts of Mod Squad is watching seniors from different schools, friend groups, and backgrounds become a little community of their own. They show up for each other, hype each other up, laugh together, and somehow turn what could simply be a photoshoot into another memory they’ll carry with them long after senior year is over.
✨ Confetti Color ✨
The Confetti Color shoot was also the perfect excuse to celebrate COLOR. If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know I love a good pop of color, and there was no shortage of it here! I’m always encouraging my seniors to embrace what makes them feel like themselves, whether that means bold colors, fun outfits, unexpected accessories, or simply showing up with a huge personality. These photos are meant to feel fun, and this group absolutely delivered.
And while school is officially starting back up, these girls have been busy since the beginning of summer. We’ve already packed so many memories into this Mod Squad season, and there is still plenty more to come! I love getting to watch this group grow closer with every shoot and seeing their personalities come through more and more each time I put them in front of my camera.
New studio. New memories. Same Mod Squad magic. And yes, there is still confetti in places I’m probably going to be finding for a while.
I’m so excited to look back at these photos years from now and remember this exact season of life for these girls. The color, the laughter, the friendships, the confidence, and all the little moments in between. This is what the Mod Squad is all about, and I’m soaking up every second of it!
