Mod Squad 2027: Film Reel Shoot

Drumroll please… Introducing the Mod Squad Class of 2027!

It’s officially Mod Squad season at SJP, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome this incredible group of seniors. We kicked off the year with one of my favorite traditions, our Film Reel photoshoot at the studio. The day was filled with laughter, excitement, new friendships, and so many beautiful portraits of these amazing girls.

Every year, the Film Reel shoot serves as the official introduction to the new Mod Squad class. While the photos are always stunning, what I love most about this shoot is the opportunity to spend a little one-on-one time with each senior and start learning more about who they are.

Let’s be honest… having your photo taken can feel intimidating! Most of these girls are stepping in front of my camera for the first time, and it’s my job to help them relax, have fun, and feel confident. I always tell my seniors the same thing: trust me, I’ve got you. Before long, the nerves disappear, the laughs start flowing, and their personalities begin to shine.

One of the most rewarding parts of Mod Squad is watching friendships form. These girls come from different schools, different communities, and different friend groups. Yet somehow, by the end of our first shoot together, you’d think they’d known each other forever.

That’s the magic of Mod Squad.

It’s about so much more than photos. It’s about building friendships, creating memories, supporting one another, and celebrating one of the most exciting years of life together.

Fun Fact: Past Mod Squad girls have stayed friends long after graduation, and some have even become college roommates! I love knowing that these connections often extend far beyond senior year.

We may have kicked off the season with the Film Reel shoot, but trust me when I say we’re just getting started. This year, we’ve packed the Mod Squad calendar with creative concepts, unforgettable locations, and countless opportunities to celebrate the Class of 2027. From sports-inspired shoots and colorful summer adventures to flowers, confetti, college commitments, and everything in between, I already know this is going to be an incredible year.

To my Mod Squad Class of 2027 girls: thank you for trusting me to be part of your senior year story. I cannot wait to watch each of you grow, celebrate your accomplishments, and create some serious magic together over the coming months.
